Dan Bern is singer-songwriter, poet, painter, columnist and author. He proudly stands high on the podium of artists who speak their mind in song.  Equipped with his perceptive insights, wry wit, and humorous observations his songs and stories draw you in and keep you wanting more. Bern may be best known for his masterpieces Jerusalem, Marilyn, and Tiger Woods, but he has also released 30 albums and EPs, and played thousands of shows across North America and Europe. He is a captivating live performer with a loyal, multi-generational following.

Inside the song is a peek into the artist and songwriter’s mind during the act of creation. It’s an opportunity for fans/music lovers and songwriters to glean a deeper understanding of the back stories, the judgements, the skill set, and the guidelines that influenced the artists we admire in making the songs we love.  Tina Ross, host of the series, and a singer-songwriter herself, will guide us all through an hour of music.
