Farewell, Farewell (Fairport Convention)

An Evening with Steve Gibb’s Jolly Beggars is Troubadour’s star-studded celebration of Celtic culture, combining the pleasures of a Robert Burns Night with the rousing joys of a St. Patrick’s Day. These Jolly Beggars are an international Celtic supergroup that brings together world-class musicians with a rich, diverse history in traditional and contemporary music. In addition to touring the country over the years and playing for thousands of fans, these four friends are at the peak of musical accomplishment, and we’re honored that they kick off their national big-theater tour with a visit to “Morristown’s Listening Room.”

Steve Gibb’s virtuosic guitar playing is renowned everywhere, from the London Symphony to lead onstage guitarist for Broadway’s “Jersey Boys,” and to the Project’s own Summer Songs Classic Rock Party.

Lead by stunning Irish-American vocalist Madelyn Monaghan, whose collaborations with global stars like Ben Gold and Armin van Buuren have reshaped modern Celtic music, the Beggars take old traditions to thrilling new heights.

All-Ireland Fiddle Champion Caitlin Warbelow’s fiery fiddling helped win a Tony Award and Grammy nomination for Broadway’s Come From Away.

The dynamic piano and energetic button accordion mastery of Chris Ranney has graced stages from Broadway to China.

Award-winning and globetrotting piper Cameron Macdougall is a graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and performed with Feis Rois in Australia, at Celtic Connections in Glasgow, and the Interceltique Festival de Lorient, France. He has led ensembles in competition at the World Pipe Band Championships and now promotes the craic through music, whisky, and golf.”
