The Kennedys
The Kennedys perform online for Inside the Song’s Series – a concert/interview hybrid. It’s a peek into the artist’s mind during the act of creation. It’s an opportunity for fans and songwriters to glean a deeper understanding of the back stories, the judgements, the skill set, and the guidelines that influenced the artists we admire in making the songs we love.
Tina Ross, producer and host of the series, and a singer-songwriter herself, will guide us all through an hour of music. You will get to ask your questions in the comment section during the show.

The Kennedys are the beloved husband and wife team Pete and Maura Kennedy. They are recognized for their harmonies and instrumental prowess, blending elements of country music, bluegrass, Western swing and janglepop.
They were in Nanci Griffith’s touring band and began their career as a duo opening for Griffith’s band. Since then they have performed in clubs and theaters throughout the United States, on a cruise, and at Bill Clinton’s first and second inaugurations. The Kennedys were awarded the Kate Wolf Memorial Award by the World Folk Music Association in 2001. They are wonderful supporters of the music community and teach at songwriting retreats.
Pete plays the acoustic and electric guitar, electric sitar, bass, mandolin, and ukulele, while Maura plays acoustic and electric guitars and ukulele.
During the pandemic The Kennedys have streamed 97 shows to date. Their shows have anywhere from 3 to 10K views. That’s how much they are adored!
