Paul Morris & Torrent
Stormy weather is welcome as Torrent rains supreme with their tsunami of tunes. A bomb cyclone drops 24 millibars of pressure over 24 hours. Torrent’s bomb contra drops 32 bars of pleasure every 30 seconds. Monsoon Morris makes macroburst magic with his whirlwind calls. Blow into Tern as Twister makes a comeback to thunderous applause.
Masks and vaccinations optional. All dances called to Larks & Robins.
Paul Morris has been contra dancing for over two decades, from his hometown of Berea, Kentucky to New York City where he now hangs his hat. He has found his experience as a teacher helps him effectively teach dances to newcomers and experienced dancers alike.
Torrent is New York City’s newest contra dance band featuring Nadia Gaya on accordion, Sarah Stefanski on fiddle, and Ross Parker on piano. Torrent’s driving rhythms and exciting tunes will get you on your feet and dancing!
