Greg Greenway with Taylor Abrahamse

Many Troubadour regulars know about Greg Greenway. His passionate voice and powerful guitar and keyboard accompaniment have graced our stage many times as a member of collaborations such as Brother Sun, Deeper Than the Skin, and Phil Ochs Song Night. But it’s been 15 years since we’ve presented him as a solo. And good timing, too, because this year, he was rated #1 artist, and his latest CD, “Between Hello and Good Bye” #1 record in 2023 by Folk Alliance International DJ List.

If you’re singing along to a song you don’t know, and suddenly feeling 10 years younger – you’re probably at a Taylor Abrahamse concert. Like a maple leaf caught in a gust above the Ontario prairies, Taylor blissfully floats between the borders of songwriting with his hook-laden hammerclaw pop, stunning range & on-the-spot improvisations. A Paul Simon/Jim Carrey crossbreed & a Kerrville Newfolk Winner, he’s ready to break the rules with a glint in his eye & a tip of his grandpa’s old cap.
