George Potts
George Potts is a well-established musician in Northwestern Connecticut, with a career spanning several decades. After attending Lake Forest College in Illinois, he co-founded the folk/jazz ensemble, Redwood Landing, in Chicago during the early 1970s. He relocated to Kent, CT in 1976, where he played bass with his father-in-law, pianist Dolph Traymon, at the Fife ’n Drum Restaurant. Over the past 20+ years, George has been a key member of The Joint Chiefs and performed as a bassist for Wanda Houston. More recently, he has collaborated with Gordon Titcomb and the trio R.A.M. His solo album, Ends and Odds, reached #17 on the FAI Folk Music charts.
