Junior Vasquez

Calistro “Junior” Vasquez is a Lubbock, Texas–based singer/songwriter whose music blends Americana, acoustic folk, and faith-inspired storytelling rooted in the West Texas tradition. Together with his wife, Mickie, he has performed throughout the South Plains, New Mexico, and Colorado. Their recent recording Chapter 23 was released on Howlin’ Dog Records. Junior also participated in songwriter events honoring the Buddy Holly legacy, where he co-wrote ” No Tom Petty” with Texas legend songwriter Kimmie Rhodes. Renowned Texas producer Lloyd Maines has praised his authentic songwriting and heartfelt performances.
