Mark & Robin Schaffer
Mark & Robin Schaffer are a musical and marital collaboration known and loved throughout the Folk Project community for their organizational, hosting and performance prowess. Their original songs speak from the heart and the funny bone about life, love, and the human condition.
Mark is a lifelong musician, touring fiddler and guitarist, and songwriter. His song “Old Great Dismal Swamp” was sung one year by every elementary school student in the State of Virginia, and his most prized accolade was Tom Paxton saying he “loved, loved” Mark’s absolutely embarrassing song, “The Sheriff’s Wife.” Robin is a new performer and accomplished songwriter, recognized for capturing the lives and inner journeys of a person’s mind and heart, and for her profoundly relatable treatment of the tragedy in Ukraine. The couple invites all their friends to “tune in or else.”
