Folk Project Birthday Party

The Troubadour Birthday Show

Troubadour Acoustic Concert Series presents

$12 admission this night only includes refreshments with birthday cake.

On July 25, 1975, a bunch of 20-something hippie musicians called “Project 21” decided to open up a coffeehouse called “Good, Though” (The punchline to a Utah Phillips story) in the basement of a French Restaurant in Chester, NJ.  Now, 48 years later, through multiple changes in producing organization, venue location, and series title, that has become the Troubadour we know today.  And since about our 3rd or 4th year of operation we’ve been celebrating the anniversary of that show with a unique concert.  On July 4th, about 40 Folk Project member musicians put their names in a hat to be combined in randomly chosen duos and trios, and each group will perform one song in this Birthday Show.  It’s a celebration of all our musical members, and of our heritage that “Everyone’s music has value”.  Come join the party.  You’re invited.
