Folk Project favorites Dennison & Donahue are the artistic merging of Annie Donahue, an outstanding singer/songwriter with a beautiful voice, and Todd Dennison, an exquisitely tasteful and intelligent guitarist. They combine traditional folk music and gospel with jazz influences to create a unique framework for Annie’s gorgeous melodies and soul-baring lyrics. Their performances touch audiences with introspection, joy, and an almost meditative flight to where meaning, feelings, and sound meet. Annie has a natural gift for conveying complex emotions with her simple, direct-to-the-heart vocal purity. Todd is a sensitive craftsman, whose complex arrangements provide a lush, but simple soundscape for Annie’s voice.
