Sophie Buskin is a New York City-based alt-folk singer-songwriter known for her deeply reflective music centered on memory, honesty, and emotional transformation. Born into a musical family, she began studying piano at age three and was recording as a commercial jingle singer by the age of four. She later honed her craft at the prestigious Berklee College of Music, where she expanded her vocal versatility performing with the school’s Gospel Choir and Motown ensemble.
After writing her first official song in 2009, she spent years performing alongside her father, renowned musician David Buskin, before launching her solo career. Her breakout 2019 debut EP, Sweet Creature, received widespread critical acclaim and topped the Roots Music Report Alt-Folk chart.
