THE NEW JERSEY UKE FEST – 2022

On Friday through Sunday, August 26, 27 & 28, The Folk Project’s NJ Uke Fest will present workshops, concerts, and sing-alongs in Rockaway, NJ. ickets are $95 for the entire weekend of concerts, workshops, dinner, open stages, and sing-along/play-alongs. Attendance is limited to about 50 vaccinated guests. Artists featured include The Kennedys, Lil’ Rev, Bill Wynne, Larry Bartram and more. On Sunday we host our traditional outdoor sing-along/play-along on Morristown Green

    • 6:30 – Welcome Play-Along

    • 10:00 – Late-night Music Party
  • Saturday:
    • 12:00 – Arrive, park, register & make music
    • 1:00 –  Introduce artists and explain workshops
    • 1:30 – Three workshops every hour.
    • 5:30 – Dinner & Guest Showcase
    • 7:15 – Group Song
    • 7:30 – Concert

Rev’s music is sourced from classic old time and blues uke styles, bringing romance, adventure, wisdom, sustenance and fellowship to his audiences.
Bill Wynne

Bill Wynne

A consummate chord melody-style expert who plays in Hawaiian, jazz, classical, pop, the Great American Songbook, and even Broadway styles.
Yaniza

Yaniza is a Jewish, Dominican and Kittitian pop singer-songwriter, who brings joy and sunshine in English and Spanish with a huge contagious smile on her face.

Larry Bartram

This noted author tells the story of Richard Konter (left), the globe-trotting uke player, sailor and Tin Pan Alley arranger who accompanied Admiral Byrd to the South Pole.
Frank Sole

Frank Sole

The resident Folk Project instructor for all things stringed, Frank will make sure beginners don’t form bad habits and intermediates sound truly advanced
Hula

Hula

This celebration of the very Hawaiian instrument will include a very Hawaiin dance.
