Karen Justin & Ten Gallon Cat

Ten Galllon Cat breeds contentment with tunes that will make you Singapura.  If your Ragdoll Calico dress leaves you looking like a Ragamuffin, you can dress to the nine lives in a Manx or Chartreux Tuxedo and leave it on your Tabby.  Give your Shorthair LaPerm or your Longhair an American Curl or Bobtail.  Whether you come out of the Norwegian Forest, Australian Mist, or the Savannah, and Snowshoe or take a Turkish Van, Karen’s calling will leave you weak in Javanese.  I hope Abyssinian the dance floor.

Masks and vaccinations optional.

In 2022, Karen Justin discovered the joy of contra calling. Known as a friendly and precise dancer, she brings these same qualities to the microphone. With clear teaching and well-timed calling, Karen welcomes new and experienced dancers alike, helping them connect to the music and to each other.

Ten Gallon Cat:  Twenty-five years ago, fiddler Michael Gorin and concertinist Jody Kruskal (both of Grand Picnic fame) were asked to put a band together for a dance at the Alpine Boat Basin pavilion.  Blame Michael for this delightfully silly band name, which still lives on today. This go ’round we are joined by the amazing multi-instrumentalist Dominique Gagne on piano and flute.
