LEDGIN is an international award-winning music journalist and book author/photographer: Homegrown Music: Discovering Bluegrass; From Every Stage: Images of America’s Roots Music; Discovering Folk Music. Her work has appeared around the globe in publications, recordings, and museums. Her 50-year professional journey dates back to high school, when Sixties rock-n-roll captivated her alongside popular folk music of the day. A seasoned emcee and radio show host — most notably WFUV 90.7 FM, New York City — she was director of the New Jersey Folk Festival for 10 years, produced numerous concerts in New York City and New Jersey, and managed Italian guitarist Beppe Gambetta for a decade, developing from the ground up his Stateside career. Her forthcoming book, Exceptional Music: 50 Years On, is an autobiographical retrospective. Ledgin’s extensive background provides multi-faceted subject matter for panels and presentations. Her experience behind the mic brings poise and professionalism to any event.
